On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, as directed by the dean of the College of Science and head of department, the department of Medical Physics arranged a scientific trip to the college of medicine at Mosul university. The trip was led by a group of teaching staff from the department mentioned accompanied by students from the same department. The visit aimed to identify a group of laboratory devices, including (DEXA SCAN – dual energy x-ray absorptiometry), and how to work on it. Also, the steps taken to prepare the patient for the examination and how to take dual-energy rays and convert them into images on the computer to make the final measurements of the examination.
