On the occasion of National Afforestation Day, the College of Science represented by its departments participated in some campaigns to plant seedlings and trees. That was in support of the campaign and spread the culture of planting & afforestation in the University and everywhere in the world. So, this day was an opportunity to stress on the importance of trees and vegetation for our planet, as trees contribute to the purification of air from harmful gasses and provide the oxygen necessary for life. They also help improve land quality and conserve water and provide shelter for a great diversity of organisms.
