The dissertation is titled:<br data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"444\" \/><strong data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"570\">\u201cExperimental Induction of Fatty Liver in Laboratory Animals and Its Potential Treatment Using Some Plant-Based Products.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"572\" data-end=\"735\">The defense was conducted in the presence of <strong data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"656\">Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdul Hadi Mohammed<\/strong>, Head of the Department, along with faculty members and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"1046\">This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effects of bioactive compounds extracted from strawberries (polyphenols), almonds (Omega-3), and a combined preparation of Omega-3 with Vitamin E in reducing or treating fatty liver experimentally induced in rabbits using Triton at a dose of 300 mg\/kg body weight.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1615\">The research involved 100 male New Zealand white rabbits (aged 10\u201312 months, weighing 1150\u20131350 g), divided into ten groups (10 rabbits per group) under standard housing conditions. Plant-based compounds were extracted using a Soxhlet apparatus with solvents of varying polarity. Six key polyphenols from strawberry extract (ethyl acetate) were identified using HPLC, with <strong data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1434\">Quercetin<\/strong> being the most abundant, followed by <strong data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1488\">Caffeic acid<\/strong>. The almond extract underwent saponification to measure its Omega-3 fatty acid content, which was found to be <strong data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1614\">40.34 mg\/ml<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"2139\">The study reported significant improvements in blood parameters (RBCs, Hb, PCV) and a reduction in PLT levels in treated groups, as well as reduced WBCs, glucose, and harmful lipids (LDL-c, VLDL-c, TG, TC), with an increase in beneficial HDL-c. Improvements were also noted in kidney and liver function indicators (urea, creatinine, total protein, calcium, and the enzymes ALT, AST, and ALP), along with better levels of hormones and enzymes related to oxidative stress (ANP, Apelin, Irisin, TAC, lipase, and paraoxonase).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2141\" data-end=\"2331\">The research concluded that strawberry and almond-derived compounds, along with the Omega-3 + Vitamin E combination, possess promising efficacy in reducing or preventing fatty liver disease.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2333\" data-end=\"2367\"><strong data-start=\"2333\" data-end=\"2367\">Examination Committee Members:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2368\" data-end=\"2717\">\n<li data-start=\"2368\" data-end=\"2418\">\n<p data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2418\">Prof. Dr. Owais Mowafaq Hamed Mohammed (Chair)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2419\" data-end=\"2476\">\n<p data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2476\">Asst.
