Prof. Dr. <strong data-start=\"211\" data-end=\"234\">Wasan Saleh Hussein<\/strong>, faculty member at the Department of Biology, College of Science \u2013 University of Mosul, participated in the international workshop organized by the Northern Technical University in collaboration with several Arab and international universities. The workshop was held virtually from August 18\u201319, 2025, under the title:<br data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"556\" \/><em data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"685\">\u201cThe Role of Modern Technologies in Increasing Plant Production under Sustainable Agriculture\u2026 Between Reality and Aspiration.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"1050\">During the workshop, Dr. Wasan delivered a scientific lecture entitled:<br data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"763\" \/><em data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"865\">\u201cSoilless Agriculture and Intensive Production Technologies: Modern Innovations to Meet Food Needs,\u201d<\/em><br data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"868\" \/>in which she highlighted the role of modern agricultural technologies in improving production efficiency, addressing environmental challenges, and ensuring resource sustainability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1181\">This participation comes within the framework of supporting the <strong data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1164\">UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030<\/strong>, specifically:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1523\">\n<li data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1275\">\n<p data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1275\"><strong data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1207\">Goal 2: Zero Hunger<\/strong> \u2013 through innovations that contribute to achieving food security.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1406\">\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1406\"><strong data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1329\">Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production<\/strong> \u2013 by promoting practices that reduce waste and conserve natural resources.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1523\">\n<p data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1523\"><strong data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1436\">Goal 13: Climate Action<\/strong> \u2013 by adopting eco-friendly technologies that mitigate the impacts of climate change.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1525\" data-end=\"1691\">Thus, the workshop embodied the integration between scientific research and sustainable development, strengthening food security and keeping pace with future needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asst.
