Prof. Dr. Wasan Salih Hussein<\/strong>, faculty member in the Department of Biology, participated as a co-supervisor for the doctoral dissertation of <strong data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"400\">Alaa Khalid Ibrahim<\/strong> from the Department of Field Crops, College of Agriculture and Forestry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"664\">The dissertation was entitled:<br data-start=\"507\" data-end=\"510\" \/><strong data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"662\">\u201cAllelopathic Effect of Intercropping Barley and Safflower on Growth Traits, Yield of the Two Crops, and Associated Weeds under Rainfed Conditions.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"666\" data-end=\"916\">The study addressed the inhibitory effects of barley and safflower residues on growth and productivity traits, as well as their allelopathic influence on associated weeds such as wild oats and <em data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"867\">Lolium<\/em> species under rainfed agricultural conditions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"1056\">The defense took place on the morning of <strong data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"988\">Thursday, August 28, 2025<\/strong>, at the College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asst.
