The thesis, entitled <em data-start=\"438\" data-end=\"525\">\u201cThe Impact of Climate Change on Stimulating Plant Pathogenic Fungi to Infect Humans\u201d<\/em>, was defended on Wednesday morning, September 10, 2025.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"803\">The defense committee included Asst. Prof. Dr. <strong data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"659\">Shaimaa Khalil Abdullah<\/strong> and Lect. Dr. <strong data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"695\">Noor Maisar Sadiq<\/strong>, while Prof. Dr. <strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"740\">Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil<\/strong> supervised the thesis and also served as a committee member.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"1004\">The study addressed the impact of climate change on stimulating plant pathogenic fungi and their potential to infect humans and animals, achieving three of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1116\">\n<li data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1048\">\n<p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1048\"><strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1046\">Good Health and Well-Being (Goal 3)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1083\">\n<p data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1083\"><strong data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1081\">Quality Education (Goal 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1116\">\n<p data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1116\"><strong data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1114\">Climate Action (Goal 13)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1374\">At the conclusion of the defense, Prof. Dr. <strong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1181\">Muthanna Jassim<\/strong>, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, presented a letter of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim in recognition of her valuable comments and insightful scientific guidance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1376\" data-end=\"1478\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">We wish our esteemed faculty members continued success in their academic and research contributions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Science, chaired the defense committee of the master\u2019s thesis presented by student Nabaa Ziyad Mohammed Mohammed Ali from the Department of Environmental Sciences, College of Environmental Sciences.
