Held at the Department of chemistry on the corresponding Wednesday 26 \/ 11 \/ 2025 three seminars for graduate students at the department, they were as follows:<\/p>\n

1. seminar for PhD student Muhammad Nayef Muhammad chit
\nSpecialty: doctor of Physical Chemistry
\nTitle: development of a biosensor for estimating the levels of biochemical indicators in the blood serum of cancer patients
\nSupervision: Prof. Dr. Amer thannoun al-Taie and Prof. Dr. Louay Abdul Ali
\nThe purpose of the study:
\nDevelopment of an electrochemical biosensor based on an activated glass carbon electrode coated with qualitative antibodies (Trastuzumab and pertuzumab) to measure the concentration of antigen HER2 in the serum of breast cancer patients. The work focuses on improving the accuracy and repeatability of HER2 estimation as an important indicator of breast cancer, while using DPV technology as a basis for quantitative measurements and comparing it with traditional methods such as ELISA, in support of clinical use in early diagnosis, assessment of disease severity and follow-up response to treatment.<\/p>\n

2. seminar for Master’s student Maab Abdul Azim
\nSpecialization: master of analytical chemistry
\nTitle: development of spectral methods for estimating pharmaceutical compounds of various uses and their applications in the analysis of pharmaceutical preparations
\nSupervision: a. L. Dr. Khalida Mohamed Omar
\nThe purpose of the study:
\nIndirect spectral estimation of amlodipine besylate using the oxidizing agent n-bromosuccinamide and acid-orange dye 10.<\/p>\n

3. seminar for Master’s student Omar Sami Hamad Sultan
\nSpecialization: industrial chemistry
\nAddress: Enhancement of Petroleum products Quality via Nanocatalyst
\nSupervision: Dr. Ihab Salem Ahmed
\nThe purpose of the study:
\nConducting thermal cracking of bitumen oil using various nanocatalysts in order to improve the quality of oil products, due to the fact that it is considered a heavy substance with a high sulfur content and the inability to obtain light distillates by ordinary distillation.
\nThe seminars were attended by a number of Chemistry Department teachers and graduate students, amid interest and scientific discussions that influenced the topics raised.<\/p>\n
