Under the patronage of the president of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, in cooperation with the university presidency \/ Department of studies and Planning \u2013 Sustainable Development Unit, and the women’s Affairs Unit at the university presidency, organized the workshop tagged \u201d the role of university institutions in reducing violence against women \u201d within the activities of the campaign against violence against women, and in implementation of the requirements of the third national plan for women, security and peace \/ pillar of protection and Prevention.<\/p>\n

The workshop was held at the Department of Medical Physics at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, 3\/12\/2025, and aimed to promote awareness of the importance of the role of academic institutions in supporting women, and activating the axes of the relevant sustainable development goals, including: good health, decent work, and gender equality.<\/p>\n

The importance of this activity is highlighted because it contributes to raising the level of community awareness about the importance of protecting women, and promoting a safe and supportive university environment, in line with the University’s vision of serving the human being and society.<\/p>\n
