Under the patronage of the president of the University of Mosul, prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the College of science, prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of chemistry concluded on Monday morning, December 8, 2025 the activities of the scientific workshop, which came within the continuing education activities in the Department.<\/p>\n

The workshop touched on the topic \u201d how physical activity can prevent heart disease and improve the quality of life\u201d by reviewing the effect of regular physical activity strengthens the heart muscle, improves blood circulation, lowers blood pressure and LDL cholesterol and raises good cholesterol (HDL), which significantly reduces the risk of heart disease and strokes and improves quality of life through weight management, stress reduction, increased energy, and improved mood. To achieve this, aim for 150 minutes a week of moderate exercise such as brisk walking, swimming and cycling, incorporating strength training, with a doctor’s consultation especially if you have health conditions.<\/p>\n
