On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Chemistry Department of the College of Sciences discussed the master’s thesis submitted by the student (Iman Zahir Mohammed QADIR) and tagged \u201cpreparation of carbon nanocarbons in the process of separation of some heavy elements from liquid forms\u201d, in the presence of the dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the administrative and Scientific Assistants of the Dean, the head of the Chemistry Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Ahmed my best college teacher.
\nThe discussion committee consisted of Mr. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Sattar Ibrahim Yahya (chairman) and Assistant Prof. Noor Hazem Mohammed (member) and L. Dr. Alaa Hussein Jalil (member) and Assistant Prof Omar Adel Sharif Zeidan (member and supervisor).
\nThe dissertation dealt with the preparation and diagnosis of three carbon nanocomposites and their use in studying the efficiency of the prepared nanocomposites in adsorbing some heavy elements (lead, chromium) from liquid models.
\nCongratulations to the outstanding student for this achievement and wishes our students success and reaching the highest ranks of Science and giving.
