Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Medicine, the Student Activities Unit, and the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency, organized an awareness campaign that included medical examinations for the early detection of breast cancer. This campaign took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in the ultrasound room at the College of Medicine, University of Mosul.<\/p>\n

This initiative comes within the framework of the breast cancer awareness campaign and is part of the university’s efforts to achieve the third Sustainable Development Goal (good health and well-being). It also underscores the College of Science’s commitment to promoting health awareness among its female members and ensuring their protection from serious diseases.<\/p>\n

The campaign included a group of female members of the college, aiming to encourage early detection and spread a culture of prevention and regular screening, given its significant impact on reducing the incidence of the disease and increasing the chances of recovery.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the campaign, the participants expressed their appreciation for this purposeful humanitarian initiative. The College of Science affirms its commitment to continuing to organize awareness and health activities that contribute to promoting women’s health and achieving a safe and sustainable university environment.<\/p>\n
