In a scene that reflects the spirit of scientific progress and ambition towards a sustainable future, and to emphasize the importance of adopting clean energy sources in building modern societies, the Department of new and renewable energies at the Faculty of Science held a distinguished celebration on the occasion of the World Day of new and renewable energies, amid a scientific and cultural atmosphere rich in attendance and interaction.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was held with the support of the president of the University of Mosul, Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Brahimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Hiam Adel Ibrahim, and the follow-up of the head of the Department of new and renewable energies, assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Munir Suhail, and in the presence of the dean’s assistants for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ryan Mazen Faisal, administrative assistant, assistant professor Dr. Omar Adel Sharif, along with the heads of departments, and a constellation of teachers and students of the Department.<\/p>\n

The ceremony included a comprehensive presentation of the Department’s most prominent achievements at the scientific and academic levels, where the department reviewed its obtaining program accreditation as the first Department of the Faculty of science at the level of universities in Iraq, as well as the development of graduate programs in the same specialty, reflecting the development of the scientific and research structure of the Department.<\/p>\n

The event also witnessed the presentation of a number of outstanding student projects that reflected the level of creativity and skill of the Department’s students, and their active contributions in the field of renewable energies.<\/p>\n

At the end of the ceremony, a number of teachers were honored by the assistant head of the Department of new and renewable energies, in appreciation of their fruitful efforts and their continuous support in developing the department and meeting its needs, which contributes to enhancing its scientific career and achieving its future goals.<\/p>\n
