As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Biology<\/strong> at the College of Science, University of Mosul<\/strong>, a research team has successfully registered two bacterial isolates in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)<\/strong> database.<\/p>\n

The research was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Khansaa Mohammed Younis<\/strong>, with the participation of undergraduate students Moamen Waleed Abdul Kareem<\/strong>, Anwar Diaa Salem<\/strong>, and Alaa Sabah Ali<\/strong> as part of their graduation project.<\/p>\n

The registered isolates belong to the species Alcaligenes faecalis<\/strong> and Massilia haematophila<\/strong>. They were isolated from wastewater samples and demonstrated efficiency in voltage generation within microbial fuel cells. The isolates were identified using molecular techniques based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
