{"id":48088,"date":"2026-04-12T15:00:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T15:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/science\/?p=48088"},"modified":"2026-06-15T07:53:52","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T07:53:52","slug":"department-of-biology-organizes-a-continuing-education-course-on-conventional-pcr-technology-in-bacterial-diagnosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/science\/2026\/04\/12\/department-of-biology-organizes-a-continuing-education-course-on-conventional-pcr-technology-in-bacterial-diagnosis\/","title":{"rendered":"Department of Biology Organizes a Continuing Education Course on Conventional PCR Technology in Bacterial Diagnosis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, <strong>Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, with the follow-up of the Dean of the College of Science, <strong>Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taie<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Biology,<strong>\u00a0Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdulhadi<\/strong>, the Department of Biology at the College of Science organized a continuing education course entitled:<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>\u201cConventional PCR Technology in Bacterial Diagnosis: From Principle to Practical Application\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The course lectures were delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members from the department:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Prof. Dr. Anmar Ahmed Dawood<\/li>\n<li>Lecturer Dr. Eman Mohammed Tahir<\/li>\n<li>Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghani<\/li>\n<li>Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Saleh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The course included both theoretical and practical components distributed over five days as follows:<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Day One:<\/strong> Introduction to PCR technology and its fundamental principles.<br \/>\n<strong>Day Two:<\/strong> Components of the PCR reaction and its mechanism of action.<br \/>\n<strong>Day Three:<\/strong> Applications of PCR technology in bacterial diagnosis.<br \/>\n<strong>Day Four:<\/strong> Practical laboratory sessions and experimental procedures.<br \/>\n<strong>Day Five:<\/strong> Analysis and interpretation of results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The course concluded with several scientific recommendations emphasizing the importance of adopting modern molecular techniques for the rapid and accurate diagnosis of microorganisms. It also highlighted the need to enhance the practical skills of researchers and students in this field, contributing to improved research efficiency and applied scientific performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Department reaffirmed its commitment to supporting continuing education activities that strengthen scientific competencies and keep pace with the latest developments in
