Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, and the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim<\/strong>, the College of Science organized a humanitarian visit to Al-Hadbaa Hospital for Blood Disorders, specifically to support patients with thalassemia. The visit aimed to bring joy to patients and provide psychological support.<\/p>\n

The visit witnessed the participation of a number of faculty members and students from the College, where gifts were distributed to hospitalized patients and those awaiting blood transfusions, in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of solidarity and volunteerism.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the College\u2019s community engagement activities, which aim to promote a culture of volunteer work among students, reinforce humanitarian values, support patients, and help alleviate their suffering.<\/p>\n

Patients and their families expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this initiative, which had a positive impact on boosting morale and spreading hope.<\/p>\n

In this context, the College praised the efforts of Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Khaleq Mohammed<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Geology and Petroleum, and Prof. Dr. Irada Abdulkhaleq Khalil<\/strong>, Director of the Guidance and Counseling Division at the College of Science, as well as the outstanding students who actively participated in the event, in addition to the guidance committees in the academic departments, for their effective role in organizing and ensuring the success of this humanitarian initiative.<\/p>\n

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being<\/strong>, by supporting patients psychologically and morally and improving their quality of life during treatment.<\/p>\n

The College of Science reaffirms its commitment to continuing such community activities, in line with its mission to serve society and promote the values of giving and human connection.<\/p>\n
