A research team from the Department of Biology at the College of Science has successfully registered seven bacterial isolates in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database, as part of its ongoing academic research activities.<\/p>\n

The research work was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amira Mahmoud Al-Rawi<\/strong>, with the participation of master\u2019s student Aya Duraid Abdullah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The registered bacterial isolates belong to the species: Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>, Enterococcus faecalis<\/em>, Chryseobacterium fistulae<\/em>, Corynebacterium striatum<\/em>, Proteus mirabilis<\/em>, and Clostridium perfringens<\/em>. These isolates were locally obtained from diabetic foot cases and were identified using molecular techniques based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis.<\/p>\n

The genetic sequences were officially deposited in the GenBank database of NCBI under the following accession numbers:<\/p>\n
