Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim<\/strong>, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit, the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency, and the Women\u2019s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, organized a workshop entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cIrregular Migration and Its Impact on Human Rights.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to shed light on the phenomenon of irregular migration and its associated humanitarian, legal, and social consequences. It also addressed the risks faced by migrants during irregular migration journeys, as well as the main factors driving individuals to resort to illegal migration, particularly economic, security, and social conditions.<\/p>\n

In addition, the workshop sought to raise awareness of the importance of respecting and protecting human rights, and to present a set of perspectives and recommendations that could contribute to reducing this phenomenon through enhanced cooperation between governmental institutions and civil society organizations, thereby promoting social stability and safeguarding individual rights.<\/p>\n
