As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic capabilities of postgraduate students, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Mosul, organized two doctoral seminar sessions on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, with the participation of faculty members and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n

First Seminar<\/h3>\n

The first seminar, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cQuantum Mechanical Methods to Study the Quantitative Structure\u2013Activity Relationship of Triazole and Oxadiazole Derivatives and Development of a New Biosensor\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

was presented by PhD student Sura Mohammed Mohi Al-Din<\/strong>, specializing in Physical Chemistry<\/strong>, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hashim Mohammed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Second Seminar<\/h3>\n

The second seminar was presented by PhD student Zainab Faeq Saeed<\/strong>, specializing in Organic Chemistry<\/strong>, and was entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cSynthesis and Biological Evaluation of Some New Barbituric Acid Derivatives\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ammar Hussein Abdullah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both seminars witnessed active engagement from faculty members and students and included valuable discussions and exchanges of ideas and expertise, contributing to the development of research skills and the enhancement of the academic level of postgraduate students.<\/p>\n
