The study also investigated the biological role of the extracted silicon compound in enhancing drought stress tolerance in three wheat cultivars (Wafiya, Rashid, and Buhouth 4) through the evaluation of morphological, physiological, and anatomical traits, as well as the measurement of drought-resistance gene expression levels. This research is considered pioneering, as the extraction of silica from maize plants represents the first study of its kind conducted in Iraq.<\/p>\n
