As part of its commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic capabilities of postgraduate students, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science held three distinguished graduate seminar sessions on Wednesday, February 4, 2026<\/strong>. The seminars were presented by master’s and PhD students and attended by a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n

The first seminar<\/strong>, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cBiochemical and Genetic Study of Decorin Protein in Patients with Osteoarthritis\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

was presented by PhD student Sara Abdulilah Younis<\/strong>, specializing in Biochemistry<\/strong>, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zahraa Mohammed Ali Hamoudat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The second seminar<\/strong>, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cDevelopment of Spectrometric Methods for the Determination of Certain Antihypertensive Drugs in Different Models\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

was presented by PhD student Saleh Talal Hassan<\/strong>, specializing in Analytical Chemistry<\/strong>, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Hassani Sultan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The third seminar<\/strong>, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cApplication of Approved Spectrometric Methods for the Estimation of Certain Drugs Using Organic Reagents and Dyes and Their Pharmaceutical Applications\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

was presented by Master\u2019s student Sibel Bashir Mohammed Amin<\/strong>, specializing in Analytical Chemistry<\/strong>, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalida Mohammed Omar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The seminars witnessed active engagement from faculty members and students, with fruitful discussions and scientific exchanges that contributed to strengthening students\u2019 research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.<\/p>\n
