As part of strengthening scientific and academic collaboration among Iraqi universities and promoting the exchange of research expertise, Prof. Dr. Nasreen Malallah Aziz<\/strong> and Prof. Dr. Omar Ahmed Mouloud Al-Badrani<\/strong>, faculty members in the Department of Geology and Petroleum<\/strong>, College of Science, University of Mosul<\/strong>, participated in the defense of a Ph.D. dissertation submitted by Ms. Wafaa Anmar Younis<\/strong> at the College of Science, Tikrit University<\/strong>, on Monday, June 15, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The dissertation, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cStratigraphy, Sedimentology, and Reservoir Characterization of the Secondary Early Miocene Cycle Successions in the Qasab and Jawan Oil Fields, Northern Iraq\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nasreen Malallah Aziz<\/strong>. The examination committee also included Prof. Dr. Omar Ahmed Mouloud Al-Badrani<\/strong>, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Jammad Mohammed<\/strong>, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yaseen Saleh Kareem<\/strong>, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Muthanna Younis Mohammed<\/strong>, while Prof. Dr. Fares Najris Hassan<\/strong> served as a committee member and the dissertation supervisor.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the defense, the Dean of the College of Science, Tikrit University<\/strong>, presented Letters of Appreciation<\/strong> to the members of the examination committee in recognition of their valuable scientific contributions and their role in enriching the academic discussion and evaluating the dissertation.<\/p>\n

The College of Science at the University of Mosul<\/strong> extends its sincere congratulations to its faculty members and wishes them continued success, excellence, and outstanding achievements in their academic and scientific careers.<\/p>\n
