The Council of the College of Science at the University of Mosul held its eighteenth open session under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim<\/strong>, with the attendance of the Council members to discuss a number of academic, administrative, and scientific matters related to the progress of the College’s activities.<\/p>\n

The session commenced with a discussion of the final preparations for the competitive examination for applicants to the College’s postgraduate programs. The Council stressed the importance of completing all technical, administrative, and organizational requirements to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination and to provide an appropriate examination environment that guarantees fairness and transparency throughout the admission process.<\/p>\n

The Council also reviewed the procedures for announcing and auditing the first-stage examination results across the scientific departments, emphasizing their completion in accordance with the applicable university regulations and instructions while ensuring both accuracy and efficiency.<\/p>\n

In another agenda item, the Council discussed the implementation of the summer training program for undergraduate students and the mechanisms for assigning students to various governmental institutions and public organizations in accordance with their academic specializations. The program aims to enhance students’ practical skills and field experience while complying with the approved regulations and guidelines.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Council reaffirmed the importance of continuously supporting scientific research and encouraging faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students to publish their scholarly work in reputable international journals indexed in recognized databases, thereby strengthening the College’s academic standing and enhancing its research performance indicators.<\/p>\n
