On the morning of Tuesday, 30 June 2026<\/strong>, the College of Science at the University of Mosul<\/strong> successfully conducted the Competitive Entrance Examination<\/strong> for applicants seeking admission to the postgraduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D.<\/strong>) for the 2026\u20132027 academic year<\/strong>. The examination was held in a well-organized and highly efficient manner under the direct supervision and field follow-up of Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim<\/strong>, Dean of the College, with the attendance of the Assistant Deans, Heads of the Scientific Departments, and the participation of the Scientific and Examination Committees. This was carried out as part of the College’s commitment to providing a rigorous examination environment in accordance with the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.<\/p>\n

A total of 285 applicants<\/strong> participated in the examination across the College’s various scientific departments for both Master’s and Ph.D. programs. This followed the completion of all administrative, technical, and logistical preparations, including equipping the examination halls with all the necessary facilities, which contributed to the smooth and orderly conduct of the examination and ensured an appropriate environment for all applicants.<\/p>\n

During her field inspection of the examination process, accompanied by the Assistant Deans and Heads of the Scientific Departments, the Dean emphasized the importance of adhering to the Ministry’s regulations and providing all necessary requirements to ensure the success of the examination process while guaranteeing fairness and equal opportunities for all applicants.<\/p>\n

Following the completion of the written examination, the Scientific Committees in all departments commenced the personal interviews with applicants in accordance with the approved ministerial regulations and guidelines. These interviews aim to assess the applicants’ academic qualifications, research capabilities, and scientific competencies in order to select the most qualified candidates for admission to the postgraduate programs.<\/p>\n

The organization of this important academic event reflects the College of Science’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence and integrity in its admission procedures, attracting outstanding scientific talents, supporting scientific research, and preparing highly qualified graduates capable of serving the community.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the examination, the Deanship of the College of Science expressed its sincere appreciation to the Scientific, Examination, and Organizing Committees, as well as to the faculty members, staff, and all supporting personnel whose dedicated efforts contributed to the successful conduct of both the competitive examination and the personal interviews. The Deanship affirmed that this achievement was the result of effective coordination and teamwork, and extended its best wishes to all applicants for continued success in their academic journey.<\/p>\n
