On Thursday, July 9, 2026, the Department of life sciences at the Faculty of science at the University of Mosul held two scientific seminars for graduate students in the Hall of Professor Dr. Hana Al-Saleh, in the presence of a number of department teachers and graduate students.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The scientific program began with the first seminar, presented by the master’s student in the branch of Botany, Mo’men Manhal Abdel Salam, entitled \u201d The efficiency of some fungi isolated from different sources in the biodegradation of some industrial waste\u201d. the seminar highlighted the study of the efficiency of a number of fungi isolated from different environments in the biodegradation of industrial waste, and reviewed the possibilities of employing them in bioremediation techniques for pollutants, thus contributing to reducing their environmental effects and supporting sustainable environmental applications.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The second seminar was presented by a master’s student in the branch of Botany, sari Yousef Mahmoud, entitled \u201cEvaluating the efficiency of some nanoelements in improving the production of fruiting bodies of mushrooms (Agaricus spp.) “”The seminar dealt with the study of the impact of some nanomaterials in improving the production of fruiting bodies of mushrooms, and assessing their role in enhancing growth and productivity, which opens up new horizons for the use of nanotechnology applications in the development of mushroom production techniques.<\/p>\n

The first seminar was completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amjad Abdul Hadi Mohammed and Prof. Dr. Hadeel Ahmed al-Amiri, while the second seminar was completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hadeel Ahmed al-Amiri .<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The session witnessed fruitful scientific discussions and interventions from the attendees that contributed to enriching the research topics and developing them.<\/p>\n
