Assistant professor Dr. Alaa Hussein Ali, rapporteur of the Department of life sciences at the Faculty of science, participated<\/span> on Monday<\/span>, July 27, 2026<\/span>, in<\/span> the membership of the master’s thesis discussion Committee at<\/span> the Department of life<\/span> sciences<\/span> at the Faculty of education for Pure Sciences\/University of Tikrit<\/span>, tagged<\/span>: “Isolation<\/span> and diagnosis of some qualitatively and quantitatively effective compounds<\/span> in<\/span> the leaves and flowers of the shafal plant (Capparis spinosa L.<\/span>) And the study<\/span> of their biological<\/span> effectiveness<\/span> against<\/span> species<\/span> of<\/span> microbiota<\/span>\u201d\u060c Presented<\/span> by student Hala Dawood Abdul Dawood Al-Mallah.<\/span> The study<\/span> aimed<\/span> at isolating<\/span> and diagnosing the active compounds<\/span> found<\/span> in<\/span> the leaves and flowers of the shafallah plant, determining them qualitatively and quantitatively, as well as evaluating their biological effectiveness and testing their effect against a number of types of Microbiology, in order to explore their potential in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.<\/span> The results<\/span> showed<\/span> that the leaves and flowers of the plant contain a group of active compounds of vital importance, with different concentrations depending on the plant part, and plant extracts showed remarkable effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of a number of microorganisms.<\/span> The study concluded that the shafallah plant is a promising natural source of bioactive compounds, and that its extracts have application potential in the resistance of some microorganisms, which opens up new horizons for future studies and research in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.<\/span> We wish<\/span> the professors of our college continued<\/span> success<\/span> and<\/span> giving.<\/span><\/p>\n
