The Department of life sciences at the Faculty of Science \u2013 University of Mosul, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, discussed<\/span> the tagged<\/span> master<\/span>‘s thesis<\/span>: \u201cEvaluation of Some Physiological and Molecular Parameters in Infertile Men\u201d<\/span> For graduate<\/span> student<\/span> Khalid<\/span> Mohammed<\/span> Ibrahim<\/span> in the specialty<\/span> (Zoology<\/span>). The study<\/span> aimed<\/span> at evaluating<\/span> a number of physiological and molecular indicators<\/span> in<\/span> men with infertility<\/span>, contributing<\/span> to understanding the complex mechanisms of male infertility, detecting hormonal and genetic disorders associated with it, as well as providing original basic data that can be used in future studies and research in Iraq.<\/span> The main<\/span> results<\/span> and conclusions<\/span> of the study<\/span> : Physiological and hormonal indicators<\/span>: the results showed a significant decrease in sperm concentration and motility in infertile men, offset by a marked increase in the percentage of non-motile sperm.<\/span> The study<\/span> also detected<\/span> an increase<\/span> in<\/span> the levels of the hormones LH<\/span> and<\/span> FSH<\/span> and a decrease<\/span> in testosterone<\/span>, with<\/span> a strong and direct correlation<\/span> between<\/span> LH<\/span> and<\/span> Statistical diagnostic efficiency<\/span>: the results of the statistical analysis curve (ROC) showed that the LH hormone was the best and the highest discriminating and accurate in separating infertile and healthy people, followed by the FSH hormone and then testosterone.<\/span> Molecular<\/span> and genetic<\/span> analysis<\/span>: the molecular side revealed<\/span> the presence of deletions<\/span> in<\/span> the chromosome<\/span> (23.3<\/span>%) of the examined samples, and the location (SY164) was the most common in the deletion, as these genetic deletions were associated with deterioration of semen quality and disruption of hormonal levels.<\/span> In its conclusion, the study<\/span> emphasizes<\/span> the crucial<\/span> importance<\/span> of the need to combine clinical, hormonal, and molecular micro-examinations to reach a comprehensive assessment and accurate diagnosis of male infertility cases.<\/span> The discussion<\/span> Committee<\/span> was chaired<\/span> by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Salah el-Din Abdel Faraj Mohamed, with the membership of : Prof. Dr. Firas Hamid khodair Nazzal, teacher Dr. Abeer Ali Kazem Mohamed, and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussein Mikael Hassan.<\/span> We wish<\/span> our dear<\/span> students<\/span> continued excellence and<\/span> success<\/span> in their scientific career.<\/span><\/p>\n
