On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, assistant professor Dr. Rojan Ghanem Mohammed al \u2013 Allaf, teaching at the Faculty of Science-University of Mosul, participated<\/span> in the<\/span> membership of the doctoral dissertation discussion<\/span> Committee<\/span> at<\/span> the Faculty of Medicine \u2013 Erbil Medical University<\/span>, tagged<\/span>: \u201cEfficacy of MicroRNAs as a marker for diagnosis and severity of virus infections among recurrent aborted women in comparison with other diagnostic markers\u201d<\/span> Presented<\/span> by the researcher Sharmeen Kader Faki Abdullah.<\/span> The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the efficiency of some miRNAs molecules, including miR-135A-5p and Mir-146B-5p, as non-invasive biomarkers for the diagnosis of viral infections associated with recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as to study the relationship between viral infections and immune and inflammatory responses, in particular associated with CMV virus and Parvovirus B19 virus.<\/span> The study also examined the levels<\/span> of some cytokines, including IL-6 and yil-10, studied the interference between changes in the expression of miRNAs molecules and host immune responses, their role in trophoblastic functions and angiogenesis, as well as comparing the efficiency of these indicators with conventional diagnostic indicators in detecting the severity of viral inflammation and negative pregnancy outcomes.<\/span> The participation of assistant professor<\/span> Dr. Rogan<\/span> Ghanem<\/span> Mohammed<\/span> al-Allaf<\/span> comes<\/span> within<\/span> the framework of the scientific presence of teachers of the Faculty of Science \u2013 University of Mosul in the Graduate Studies discussion committees, and their contribution to supporting scientific research and enhancing academic cooperation between Iraqi universities.<\/span> Our wishes to assistant professor<\/span> Dr. Rogan<\/span> Ghanem<\/span> Mohammed<\/span> al-Allaf<\/span> for the time of success, excellence and scientific giving<\/span><\/p>\n
