The Department of life sciences at the Faculty of Science \u2013 University of Mosul held two scientific seminars for graduate students, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in the Hall of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Haj Qasim, in the presence of a number of department teachers and graduate students.<\/span> The first seminar included a presentation by Manal Younis Ahmed Mohammed, PhD student in zoology,<\/span> entitled<\/span>: \u201cEffect of Propranolol and Timolol on Healing of Skin Burns: Physiological and Histological Study in Rabbits\u201d<\/span> The seminar<\/span> dealt<\/span> with the<\/span> study of the effect of Propranolol and timolol in<\/span> the healing<\/span> of skin<\/span> burns<\/span> in<\/span> rabbits<\/span>, by evaluating a number of physiological variables and histological changes associated with the healing process.<\/span> The second seminar was presented by the master’s student in zoology, Saadi Shihab Diab Mustafa, entitled<\/span>: \u201cDifferent Techniques in Separating X, Y Sperm and Chromosomal Evaluation of Embryos Resulting from ICSI\u201d<\/span> The seminar discussed<\/span> the study<\/span> of various<\/span> techniques for separating<\/span> sperm<\/span> carrying<\/span> chromosomes<\/span> X<\/span> and Y, evaluating the chromosomes of embryos resulting from the ICSI technique, comparing the efficiency of separation methods and the chromosomal results of the resulting embryos.<\/span> These seminars came within the requirements of the completion of graduate students, and were completed<\/span> under the supervision of assistant professor<\/span> Dr. Waad<\/span> Sabri<\/span> Shaher<\/span>, professor<\/span> Dr. FIHA<\/span> Azhar<\/span> Mohieddin<\/span> for<\/span> the first seminar<\/span>,and teacher<\/span> Dr.<\/span> Muwaffaq<\/span> Khalil<\/span> Hussein<\/span> Ali<\/span> for the second<\/span> seminar<\/span>, and the seminars witnessed<\/span> constructive<\/span> scientific<\/span> discussions<\/span> that contributed<\/span> to enrich<\/span> the research<\/span> topics<\/span> and development.<\/span> We wish<\/span> full-time graduate students success, excellence and success in their scientific and research career.<\/span><\/p>\n
