The women’s Affairs Committee at the Faculty of science at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the women’s Affairs Unit at the university presidency and the human rights unit at the College, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, held a workshop entitled “The Art of public speaking and communication: soft skills, impact making and public speaking”, in the conference hall of the chemistry department.<\/span> The workshop came within the executive plan of the national strategy for Iraqi women (2025-2030), with the aim of developing personal and professional abilities, enhancing leadership skills, communication and expressing opinions confidently and efficiently, in a way that supports women’s active participation in academic and community fields.<\/span> The workshop dealt with the importance<\/span> of public speaking and effective communication in building academic and professional personality, the role of soft skills in enhancing self-confidence, expressing ideas clearly, influencing others, as well as developing public speaking skills and dealing efficiently with various situations.<\/span> Assistant teacher Alain Moufak Khalil, assistant teacher Salah afdou Ali, and teacher Dr. FIHA Kamal Hussein attended the workshop<\/span>, presenting<\/span> topics<\/span> related<\/span> to communication and public speaking skills<\/span> and their impact<\/span> on enhancing<\/span> personal and professional attendance<\/span>, and refining<\/span> the<\/span> participants ‘<\/span> abilities to communicate<\/span> and interact positively<\/span>. This workshop comes<\/span> within<\/span> the framework of the College of science’s efforts to promote human development, establish a culture of effective communication, and support the goals of the national strategy for Iraqi women, which contributes to providing a supportive university environment to empower women and enhance their role in sustainable development and academic and societal excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n
