On the evening of Thursday, August 12, 2021, the electronic training course held by the Department of Chemistry was concluded under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taii, and tagged “Green Chemistry” delivered by (A) Dr. Hana Shukr Mahmoud) and (Dr. Rana Abdul-Malik Qaba).The course dealt with a definition of green chemistry, its applications and the twelve principles that are based on it. The course also presented a classification of dangerous and less dangerous compounds and methods for designing safe chemical reactions on human health and other organisms and on the safety of the environment, through the use of safe solvents, the regulation of organic reagents and waste recycling, The techniques of analysis, separation and estimation were also categorized and clarified which ones are safer and less dangerous.The workshop witnessed a wide presence from the academicians of the University of Mosul and Iraqi universities, as well as the health institution and university
