Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Asst.\u00a0Prof. Dr Mohammed Naif Mahmood, the College of Tourism Sciences, in collaboration with the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit and the Sustainable Development Unit \/ Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organised a training course entitled\u00a0\u201cDeveloping Female Leadership Figures in Various Fields.\u201d<\/strong><\/span> This course falls within the framework of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security for 2025, which aims to enhance women\u2019s participation in decision-making and support their roles in leadership positions.
\nThe course was launched on Sunday, March 9, 2025, with a lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Ma\u2019n Waadallah Al-Mu\u2019adhidi titled \u201cFundamentals of Female Leadership,\u201d<\/strong> which addressed the concept of women\u2019s leadership, its key components, the challenges women face in leadership positions, and examples of successful female leaders across different sectors. The lecture also covered essential leadership skills and the importance of strengthening women\u2019s self-confidence in the workplace.
\nThe session was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr Manal Raafat Khalid, along with several female staff members, witnessed positive interaction from the participants. The course is scheduled to continue until Thursday, March 13, 2025, featuring a series of lectures and interactive sessions designed to empower women and enhance their leadership roles by highlighting effective leadership strategies.
\nThis course aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions)<\/strong>, reflecting the College\u2019s commitment to promoting leadership principles, women\u2019s empowerment, and institutional advancement.<\/p>\n
