Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, and in cooperation with the Presidency of the University of Mosul \/ Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit, the College of Tourism Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled \u201cSocial Responsibility of Hotels\u201d on Tuesday, January 20.<\/p>\n
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturers Heba Khalid Bakr and Abdullah Mohammed Taher, and attended by the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Mohammed Talal.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to highlight the hotel sector’s role in supporting the local community and promoting environmentally and socially responsible practices, thereby contributing to sustainable development.<\/p>\n
This workshop aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through encouraging responsible tourism, as well as Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by raising awareness of sustainable hotel practices.<\/p>\n
