The College of Tourism Sciences conducted a tree-planting campaign on the occasion of the National Tree Planting Day, which falls on March 12 each year. The campaign was carried out with the participation of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, and a number of the college staff members.<\/p>\n
This campaign comes in line with the initiatives of the University of Mosul Presidency to promote the concepts of sustainability and social responsibility. It aims to support the university environment by increasing green spaces and planting a number of seedlings within the university campus, while encouraging environmentally friendly practices and fostering environmental responsibility among students and staff.<\/p>\n
The campaign also contributes to supporting several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 13: Climate Action, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 15: Life on Land, reflecting the college\u2019s commitment to sustainable environmental practices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
