The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Tourism Sciences, in cooperation with the University of Mosul Presidency \/ Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific workshop on Sunday, 17 May 2026, entitled \u201cHuman Trafficking and Its Dangers to the Individual and Society.\u201d<\/p>\n
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Aida Mohammed Ubaid, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Prof. Dr. Zaid Mohammed Talal, in addition to the heads of the scientific departments and the college staff members.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of human trafficking, its causes, and its negative impacts on individuals and society. It also highlighted the social, psychological, and economic risks resulting from this phenomenon, as well as the importance of community awareness and the role of educational institutions in reducing such practices and promoting a culture of respect for human rights and the protection of human dignity.<\/p>\n
This workshop comes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16: \u201cPeace, Justice and Strong Institutions,\u201d Goal 4: \u201cQuality Education,\u201d Goal 3: \u201cGood Health and Well-being,\u201d Goal 10: \u201cReduced Inequalities,\u201d and Goal 17: \u201cPartnerships for the Goals.\u201d The workshop also supports the development of a university environment based on awareness, social responsibility, and the promotion of human values.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
