Master\u2019s Thesis Defense at the College of Veterinary Medicine \u2013 Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology<\/strong><\/p>\n

A master\u2019s thesis entitled \u201cAcute and Subacute Toxic Effects of Acetamiprid in Mice<\/strong>\u201d was defended by student Sinan Mohammed Sharif Bahaaddin, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muna Hazem Ibrahim, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.<\/p>\n

The examination committee consisted of the following esteemed members<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Findings from the current study indicate that subacute exposure to acetamiprid disrupts cholinergic neurotransmission, induces oxidative damage, and negatively affects motor and cognitive functions in mice.<\/p>\n

    Recommendations for future research include further investigation into the long-term consequences of neonicotinoid pesticide exposure on neurodevelopment in mammals.<\/p>\n

    Following a confident and scientifically grounded defense, the thesis was accepted by the committee.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to the researcher, the supervisor, the college, and the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology on this academic achievement.
