On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, a master\u2019s thesis defense was held at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology, for the student Hazem Ahmed Khalil Abdo. The thesis was titled:<\/p>\n

\u201cPharmacological Effects of Nefopam and Medetomidine Alone or in Combination in Adult Mice\u201d,<\/p>\n

and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdulmunim Faris.<\/p>\n

The examination committee consisted of the following esteemed members:<\/p>\n

    The study demonstrated a synergistic pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic interaction between medetomidine and nefopam in alleviating acute thermal and visceral pain. Their combination reduced the required doses and minimized the side effects associated with administering each drug individually. This mixture shows promise for developing safer and more effective multimodal pain management protocols.<\/p>\n

    Following a confident and scientifically grounded defense, the thesis was accepted by the committee.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to the researcher, the supervisor, the College, and the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology on this scientific achievement. Best wishes to the examination committee.<\/p>\n
