The Agricultural Committee of the College of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a workshop titled \u201cFrom Concrete to Green Cover: Innovative Solutions to Moderate Campus Environments\u201d on Thursday, November 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ihsan Munir Ahmed, and its themes focused on the importance of transforming university campuses into green spaces as environmentally and health-friendly alternatives to concrete expansion. The presentation highlighted how green areas contribute to improving the local climate, moderating temperatures, and reducing heat emissions, as well as promoting psychological comfort and enhancing the learning and academic productivity environment.<\/p>\n

This workshop comes as part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to promote the culture of sustainable development and support environmental innovations that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\u2014particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)\u2014by preparing a conscious university generation that contributes to building a green campus and a sustainable future.<\/p>\n
