A master\u2019s thesis defense was held at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cUtilizing Genetic Monitoring of Eggshell Proteins in the Uterine Transcriptional Gland of Chickens During Eggshell Formation\u201d<\/p>\n

by the student Fadel Amer Fadel, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Saeed Hammoudi, on Monday, November 3, 2025.<\/p>\n

    The study focused on monitoring the gene expression of several genes responsible for eggshell formation, which possess diverse defensive properties\u2014both mechanical and immunological\u2014to produce high-quality eggs during the shell formation period. It also aimed to identify the anatomical distribution and functional localization of these genes within the oviduct. The analysis employed quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and RNA analysis, comparing gene sequences with the Gallus gallus genome database. Furthermore, the study explored gene ontology (GO), including molecular functions, biological processes, and cellular components involved in eggshell production, and examined the differences in gene presence between laying and non-laying hens.<\/p>\n

    After a confident and scientifically grounded defense, the thesis was accepted by the committee.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to the researcher, the supervisor, the college, and the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology on this scientific achievement.
