The Deanery of the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Health Promotion Division \u2013 Nineveh Health Directorate, a health center, and the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a workshop entitled \u201cNewborn Screening Examination\u201d on Monday, December 15, 2025.<\/p>\n

The workshop was delivered by Specialist Physician Abdulmunim Suleiman Ahmed (Health Promotion Division \u2013 Public Health Department). It included a detailed explanation of newborn screening tests and their benefits, as well as highlighting the dangers of genetic diseases and the harm caused by delayed diagnosis.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the workshop, Assistant Professor Dr. Wasim Hanna Kroumi, Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in recognition of his role in the workshop.<\/p>\n

This workshop is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to raise students\u2019 awareness, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by preparing a conscious university generation capable of contributing to building a positive and integrated academic environment.<\/p>\n
