{"id":42697,"date":"2026-07-01T09:59:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T09:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/veterinarymedicine\/?p=42697"},"modified":"2026-07-01T10:02:37","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T10:02:37","slug":"scientific-symposium-hantavirus-disease","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/veterinarymedicine\/2026\/07\/01\/scientific-symposium-hantavirus-disease\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientific Symposium: \u201cHantavirus Disease\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al\u2011Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the College of Veterinary Medicine \/ University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit, organized a scientific symposium titled \u201cHantavirus Disease\u201d on Monday, 29 June 2026, with the attendance of faculty members, researchers, students, and individuals interested in human and veterinary health.<\/p>\n<p>The symposium program included three scientific lectures addressing various aspects of Hantavirus disease, presented as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Lecture:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Dhiaa Mohammed Taher, titled \u201cHantavirus Disease: History and Global Epidemiology\u201d, in which he reviewed the emergence of the disease, key milestones in its spread, and major outbreaks recorded worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second Lecture:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Hamad, titled \u201cHantaviruses: Classification and Documented Strains\u201d, discussing the scientific classification of Hantaviruses, the most recognized strains, and their characteristics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third Lecture:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Asst.
