Prof. Dr. Salam Abd Ismail, on Monday, August 24, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The thesis defense committee consisted of the following members:<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Safwan Yousif Mahmoud \u2013 College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul \u2013 Chair<\/p>\n<p>Asst. Prof. Sumaya Yaseen Abdullah \u2013 College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul \u2013 Member<\/p>\n<p>Asst. Prof. Dr. Ihsan Muneer Ahmed \u2013 College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul \u2013 Member<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Amer Yahya Hameed \u2013 College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul \u2013 Member and Supervisor<\/p>\n<p>Asst. Prof. Dr. Salam Abd Ismail \u2013 College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul \u2013 Member and Supervisor<\/p>\n<p>The study aimed to employ conventional and molecular diagnostic methods to identify aerobic bacteria isolated from cases of enteritis in pigeons. The research focused on determining the morphological characteristics and cultural properties of the bacteria when grown on laboratory media and confirming their identification using rapid and advanced diagnostic techniques, including the VITEK system and Render technology. In addition, molecular assays were conducted to detect the virulence factor genes of the isolated bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>Following the student\u2019s confident and scientifically rigorous defense of his thesis and the subsequent discussion by the committee, the thesis was accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the researcher, his supervisors, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Department of Microbiology on this scientific achievement.
