Our Center organized a scientific workshop entitled:
\n\u201cTwo-Variate Drought Frequency Analysis Based on Modified Multivariate Drought Index,\u201d<\/strong>
\npresented by Dr. Ihsan Faseeh Hassan<\/strong>, lecturer at the Center.<\/p>\n

The workshop addressed the severity of drought as one of the most critical natural hazards directly affecting vital sectors. The presenter reviewed mechanisms for developing a multivariate standardized drought index<\/strong> by integrating climatic and hydrological variables using multivariate modeling.<\/p>\n

The proposed methodology aimed to improve the accuracy of assessing drought characteristics and frequency<\/strong>, enhancing the potential for strategic water resources management<\/strong> and mitigating the negative impacts of drought in the future.<\/p>\n

The workshop was attended by several researchers and engineers from the Center, highlighting the importance of such research studies in supporting water-related projects<\/strong> and ensuring the optimal use and sustainability of water resources.<\/strong><\/p>\n
