On Monday, October 20, 2025<\/strong>, the Center held an awareness lecture entitled:
\n\u201cThe Harms of Smoking and Drugs on Health and Society,\u201d<\/strong>
\ndelivered by Eng. Mustafa Salem Mustafa<\/strong>, with the attendance of several researchers and staff members.<\/p>\n

The lecture addressed the major health, psychological, and social harms<\/strong> caused by smoking and drug use. The presenter explained the effects of these behaviors on various body systems, especially the respiratory and nervous systems<\/strong>, and their role in increasing rates of chronic diseases. The lecture also discussed the negative societal impacts<\/strong>, such as family disintegration and reduced productivity.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the lecture emphasized the importance of intensifying awareness campaigns and guidance programs<\/strong> in educational and research institutions, encouraging students to adopt a healthy lifestyle free from harmful habits<\/strong>, and raising community awareness to prevent the dangers of smoking and drugs.<\/strong><\/p>\n
