<\/i><\/i><\/span>Programme Description<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

The Bachelor of Education in Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Women,
\nUniversity of Mosul, is a four-year undergraduate academic and educational program comprising 240
\nEuropean Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits and delivered in accordance with Bologna
\nProcess requirements. The program is designed to prepare qualified graduates to teach Islamic education and
\nQuranic sciences at the intermediate and preparatory stages in schools administered by the Directorates of
\nEducation, and to conduct scholarly research across the various fields of Quranic sciences in preparation for a
\nMaster’s degree.
\nThe program integrates in-depth knowledge across the branches of Quranic sciences and exegesis, recitation
\nand Quranic readings, hadith and its terminology, jurisprudence and its principles, creed, thought and
\nreligions, the Prophetic biography and characteristics, and the Arabic language and its auxiliary sciences\u2014with
\neducational practice, modern teaching strategies, educational technology, artificial intelligence applications,
\ngreen education, and sustainable development. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with applied
\ntextual analysis, recitation practice, research activities, teaching practicum, and project-based learning in<\/p>\n

order to support graduates’ professional readiness and adaptability to educational, scholarly, and labor-
\nmarket environments.<\/p>\n

Program type: Academic and educational. Mode of study: Theoretical and applied. Duration: Four years. Total
\nworkload: 240 ECTS. Semesters: Eight. Workload: 30 ECTS per semester. One ECTS corresponds to 25 hours of
\nstudent workload.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Enable graduates to demonstrate competence as distinguished teachers of Islamic education and
\neducational leaders in educational institutions.
\n\u2022 Enable graduates to play an active role in scholarly research in the Quranic and Islamic sciences and in
\napplied activities within research centers, endowment institutions, and ministries.
\n\u2022 Enable graduates to connect theoretical knowledge of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Islamic jurisprudence
\nwith real-world educational, social, and professional applications.
\n\u2022 Develop students’ ability to integrate educational technology, digital transformation, and artificial
\nintelligence applications into the teaching of the Islamic education disciplines.
\n\u2022 Promote continuous scholarly and professional development through self-directed learning.
\n\u2022 Enable graduates to lead effective community initiatives that promote moderation, coexistence, civic
\nresponsibility, and green education.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Awarded Qualification<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

Upon successful completion of the approved program requirements, graduates are awarded the Bachelor of
\nEducation in Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education degree by the University of Mosul.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Qualification Level<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

The qualification level shall be stated only after official confirmation by the competent University of Mosul \/
\nMinistry authority in accordance with the Iraqi National Qualifications Framework. No numerical level is
\ninserted here without official evidence.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Specific Admission Requirements<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Admission input specified by the program: graduates of the Ministry of Education’s Sixth Preparatory. The
\nbranches accepted (literary, scientific, or both), detailed annual admission criteria, quotas, minimum scores,
\nand procedures shall follow the official Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and University of
\nMosul regulations in force.

Successful completion of all 240 ECTS credits specified in the eight-semester curriculum.
\n\u2022 Successful completion of all requirements for core specialization courses, basic educational courses,
\nand supporting and elective subjects specified in the approved study plan.
\n\u2022 Successful completion of the practical educational components, teaching practicum requirements,
\nresearch projects, and other practical training specified in the curriculum.
\n\u2022 Fulfillment of all academic and administrative requirements applicable to the award of the Bachelor’s
\ndegree.
\nDetailed regulations governing academic progression, academic reassessment, grading, resit examinations,
\nand appeals shall be attached from the officially approved University or Ministry regulations rather than being
\ninferred.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Recognition of prior learning, academic credit transfer, course equivalency, and related procedures shall be
\ngoverned exclusively by the approved regulations of the University of Mosul and the Ministry of Higher
\nEducation and Scientific Research. No transfer or equivalency shall be recognized except through the
\nauthorized institutional procedures.<\/p>\n

Graduates of the Bachelor of Education in Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education are prepared as
\nprofessionally qualified specialists with dual educational and scholarly competence. Their primary role is to
\ndesign and teach Islamic education curricula at secondary and post-primary levels using active teaching
\nstrategies, educational technology, artificial-intelligence applications, green-education principles, and
\nsustainable-development concepts.
\nGraduates also possess readiness to work as research assistants and specialists in ministries, endowment
\ninstitutions, and research centers; to supervise Quran memorization and recitation activities; to prepare and
\nreview educational and awareness content; and to participate in applied and action research addressing
