Under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Dr. Saba Khair Al-Din Ibrahim, the Environmental Research Center, in collaboration with the Dry and Conservation Agriculture Research Center, organized a scientific symposium titled \u201cDesertification and Resistant Plants\u2026 Environmental Solutions\u201d on Monday, December 16, 2024.<\/p>\n

The symposium began with an opening speech, followed by scientific sessions that included five lectures addressing:<\/p>\n

The economic and environmental impacts of desertification.<\/p>\n

The role of resistant plants in combating desertification.<\/p>\n

Sustainable solutions and the improvement of ecosystems.<\/p>\n

Environmental measures to mitigate desertification.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with a discussion session and recommendations aimed at addressing the effects of desertification, the role of resistant plants in its mitigation, and the importance of sustainable environmental solutions.<\/p>\n
