College of Education for Girls Discusses Master\u2019s Thesis on Immune and Genetic Variations in Cryptosporidium parvum Infections<\/p>\n

The College of Education for Girls at the University of Mosul held a discussion on a master\u2019s thesis titled \u201cStudy of Some Immune and Genetic Variations Associated with Cryptosporidium parvum Infection\u201d on Thursday, December 26, 2024.<\/p>\n

The session was attended in part by Prof. Dr. Munir Taha Salem, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs.<\/p>\n

The thesis, presented by researcher Hiba Younis Qasim from the Department of Biology, investigated the immune and genetic factors related to infections caused by Cryptosporidium parvum, a parasite that affects the gastrointestinal system and is a major cause of acute diarrhea in humans and animals.<\/p>\n

The study focused on analyzing the immune and genetic aspects of infected individuals to identify the factors influencing the severity of the infection and the body\u2019s response to it. The findings represent a significant scientific step toward developing more effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to combat this parasite.<\/p>\n
