In an effort to enhance the educational environment and measure institutional and program performance indicators as well as the course of scientific research, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the results of the Iraqi university classification for 2024.<\/p>\n
This version, completed by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, evaluates (100) governmental and private institutions compared to last year’s (95) institutions, based on (10) specific axes for measuring institutional performance, which include:<\/p>\n
\u25aa Institutional accreditation standards 20%
\n\u25aa Global rankings 10%
\n\u25aa Effectiveness of scientific research 35%
\n\u25aa Educational laboratories 5%
\n\u25aa Assessment of the scientific and academic landscape and compliance standards 5%
\n\u25aa Faculty members 4%
\n\u25aa Awards 5%
\n\u25aa Diversity and international cooperation 10%
\n\u25aa Student sports club 3%
\n\u25aa Occupational health and safety 3%<\/p>\n
Additionally, (2072) scientific departments were evaluated in (100) governmental and private universities and colleges, compared to last year’s (1875) departments in (95) universities, based on specific criteria for measuring the performance of scientific departments, which include:<\/p>\n
\u25aa Quality and program accreditation 50%
\n\u25aa Faculty members 25%
\n\u25aa Global rankings for academic disciplines 25%<\/p>\n
The classification results (https:\/\/iru.asse-gate.gov.iq) indicate that the University of Technology ranked first, followed by Al-Anbar University and Al-Mustansiriya University among governmental universities, while the Future University achieved the top position among private universities and colleges, with Al-Warith University in second place and the Islamic University in third.<\/p>\n
