In a significant step toward promoting peace and peaceful coexistence, the Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence Center at the University of Mosul, as part of the National Team for Enhancing the Rule of Law led by Minister of Justice Dr. Khaled Shwani, contributed to the preparation of a comprehensive report on the state of the rule of law in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The report was developed based on the World Justice Project (WJP) indicators, which assess the rule of law across 143 countries globally.<\/p>\n

The report focused on eight key indicators, including:<\/p>\n

Constraints on government power<\/p>\n

Absence of corruption<\/p>\n

Government transparency<\/p>\n

Fundamental rights<\/p>\n

Criminal justice<\/p>\n

This report marks a significant milestone in presenting an accurate depiction of the state of peacebuilding and peaceful coexistence in Iraq, supporting national efforts to design effective and sustainable policies.<\/p>\n
