On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis by Herman Youssef, entitled \u201c Smart Cyber Deception Model based on Software Defined Network (SDN),\u201d which addressed the development of an innovative security model to counter cyber attacks on Software Defined Networks (SDN).<\/p>\n

The study proposed a based mechanism to detect reconnaissance attacks using Honeypot technology to lure attackers, while incorporating Moving Target Device (MTD) technology to enhance network security by changing IP addresses and network topology.<\/p>\n

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Doha Bashir Abdullah, with the membership of Prof. Dr. Djan Bashir Taha, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sami Nouri, Assistant Professor Dr. Yassin Hekmat Ismail, Assistant Professor Dr. Qutaiba Abdullah Hassan, and the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Naglaa Badie Ibrahim, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Naglaa Badie Ibrahim<\/p>\n
