On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis titled
\n\u201cPreparation and evaluation of levofloxacin gel for use in the treatment of periodontal diseases\u201d<\/p>\n
The study submitted by researcher Abdullah Riad Abdullah aims to develop a heat-sensitive topical gel with varying concentrations of levofloxacin for intralesional administration using thermo-responsive polymers to improve drug effect time and enhance patient adherence while minimizing drug-related side effects.<\/p>\n
The discussion was attended by Prof. Dr. Mounir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zeina Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Majid, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and the Dean’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs.
